Our
Curriculum

Abiding by the IB curriculum, along with nurturing academic excellence, our focus is on building competencies of responsible citizenship and empowering our students to adapt to the changing trends of the global world.

Our International Baccalaureate program is designed to provide learning opportunities and skills through various streams such as Academics, Sports, Life Skills, and Performing and Creative Arts.

Our flexible approach and international board curriculum allows learners to make choices that are relevant to them and encourage them to explore newer or offbeat avenues.

We believe every student is a capable learner; therefore, we create environments and opportunities to maximize their learning potential. As an IB Board School in Chennai, we facilitate the exploration of limitless possibilities, enriching their world.

This calls for a very focused student-centered approach that encourages students to be themselves in the learning process in the International Baccalaureate Program.

Our IB curriculum is facilitated through a transdisciplinary approach with various subject areas and co-curricular activities, linking them to real-world contexts and fostering connections between learning and service to local, regional, and global communities through Project Based Learning. The project culminates with each student’s product and a presentation to the audience.

Early Years Program

The Early Year Program (EYP) is an eclectic mix of approaches drawn from the best educational practices of the early years to prepare the child for a lifelong love of learning. It builds a strong foundation for future academic success.

Emotional, Social and Physical, Communication, Language development, and Creative expressions in Art and Design are valued equally alongside foundational academic learning. We recognize that children develop and learn at different rates, and therefore, student engagement in all areas involves differentiated activities and experiences.

Working in partnership with parents and caregivers, our EYP ensures that all the students are ready for Year One of the Primary Year Program.

Primary Years Program

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a research-based framework that adopts a holistic approach to primary education through three key pillars of school life: the learner, learning and teaching, and the learning community. Emotional, social and physical well-being are valued equally alongside foundational academic development, reinforced through a student-centred approach that helps children develop a love of learning.

At the core of the PYP is a concept-based inquiry with a transdisciplinary model of learning and teaching, supported by a strong understanding of how students learn. This approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning by questioning the world around them and engaging in activities that promote curiosity, independence and social skills.

How is the IB Different from Other Curriculums?

Learning in the IB extends beyond traditional approaches to education. It fosters multilingual, multicultural learners who are inspired to grow continually as individuals and empower those around them.

Why IB?

Diverse Perspectives

Students in the schools with IB curriculum are enabled to see the world through a range of lenses, growing to appreciate diversity. They engage with differences, consider other perspectives, and think critically about what they learn and themselves as learners.

Student-Centered Learning

Most schools continue to rely on teacher-centered approaches focused on delivering content. In the IB curriculum schools in Chennai, teachers work alongside students as facilitators, helping children to construct their own understanding and learning through an inquiry-based approach.

A Holistic Approach

Education has traditionally been structured to prepare students for the workplace, and it continues to be weighted heavily toward academics. Being among the IB board schools in Chennai, we take a broader view to balance academics with well-being, skill development and continual reflection.

Learning that Lasts a Lifetime

The International Board curriculum philosophy may be unfamiliar to some, but it empowers children to become lifelong learners. The five key approaches to learning in the IB provide transferable skills for success in any educational setting, including university.
